Waldmann's Leaf Lettuce

150 Seeds

$ 3.69

Waldmann's is an open-pollinated variety of lettuce bred by John Waldmann of Cincinatti, Ohio and released in 1958.  Over the past decades, Waldmann's has become the grower's standard for leaf lettuces.  Vigorous plants produce large, loose heads, bearing slightly savoyed leaves that have a beautiful green color and wavy, frilled margins.  Germinates best in cool temperatures and has a tendency to get bitter in heat.  Approximately 30 to 50 days to harvest.  Each packet contains a minimum of 150 seeds.

Planted and sprouted zone 7

Planted these when the nights were close to 50 average and they sprouted right up. I am in a very sunny area so they get loads of light. Can’t wait to harvest
