I am very happy with my purchase of the luffa seeds. Every one has successfully germinated with the use of a heat pad as I am in zone 6a. I plan to pot up this week into biodegradable pots so they can be planted directly in the ground to minimize disturbance to the roots.
This is the first time I ordered from here. You do not need 3 seeds per hole, every one of them will grow! I will be ordering from here again. I had a small issue with my order, they responded promptly and resolved the issue immediately. Great customer service!

Probably the best thing I ever grew in my 30+ years of gardening. Such lovely squash....when young and green they are like a zucchini but without all the seeds and much sweeter. Then they mature to these massive crook-neck type squash with flavor reminiscent of a butternut squash. They last in the basement for weeks and weeks. Had a giant one for Thanksgiving. Like I said....best thing I ever grew.
Italian Ausilio peppers have been a staple in my garden for years
If you are not super crazy about really hot peppers, and just want something with a bit more zing than bells and a deeper flavor than habanero types, especially for roasting and grilling, Ausilios are a great choice. I've planted these for years, having first acquired some from an Italian family. I use these in many dishes that call for bell peppers. One must be very patient when starting these as germination is often slow, taking 2 weeks or even a bit longer. Therefore, in zones with shorter growing seasons, starting them indoors is a must, and I recommend when transplanting them to your garden, make sure the weather is warm enough and if not, use a plastic dome cloche or as I do, old field tiles, to shelter them. It is worth it, believe me.
I started growing these about 40 years ago and loved the variety. Our climate is very dry and these were suited for us. They’re sweet and medium sized tomatoes. Very flavorful. They started seeding themselves and I didn’t have to plant them any more. When we moved I couldn’t find the seeds anywhere. I kept trying different companies but had varying results. Thresh Seed Co sent my seeds fairly quickly. When I planted them, every seed germinated. I was so pleased as I’ve gotten some poor seeds in the past. They’re still baby plants but I plan to get them in the ground ASAP. I’m running a little late for West Texas as it gets hot here early. Thanks and I’ll buy from you again.
