Little Gem Romaine Lettuce
250 Seeds
(Lactuca sativa) Heirloom, romaine-type lettuce produces small, 4-6" heads with crisp, green leaves. Miniature heads are often sliced in half, sprinkled with almonds, goat cheese or other toppings, and then drizzled with dressing for a fancy, gourmet-style salad. Also popular for roasting. Inner leaves make excellent miniature lettuce wraps and boats. 50 days to harvest. 250 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 4-6" apart, 1/8" deep in rows 6-12" apart. Under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 2-14 days. For continuous harvests, make successive sowings every two weeks throughout spring and fall.
