Pink Banana Squash
(Cucurbita maxima) Hundred-year-old heirloom produces huge, banana-shaped squash weighing up to 40lb each. Elongated, pink-skinned squash contain sweet orange flesh that is somewhat dry, making it perfect for roasting. An excellent storer. 105 days to harvest. 25 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds in hills with 4-5 seeds per hill and hills spaced 6ft in all directions. Germination will occur in 7-14 days. Once seeds have germinated thin to 3 seedlings per hill.
Fast shipping and plants are growing
I bought two packs of seeds (banana squash and pumpkins). They came quickly, I promptly planted them and all have germinated and seem to be doing great. Not to count my chickens before they hatch, but I’m looking forward to a bountiful harvest.
Pink banana squash seeds arrived! They are still inside due to late freezes but they’re UP! Thats phase 2 excitement-arrival was #1-freezes should be gone so into the garden next week! I LOVE this squash❣️
