(Cucurbita maxima) Heirloom variety dating back to 1798 produces large, irregularly shaped squash with lovely blue-gray skins.  Interior flesh is finely-grained and sweet, perfect for pies and other baked goods.  Excellent keeper.  110 days to harvest.  25 seeds per packet.

CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds in hills with 4-5 seeds per hill and hills spaced 6ft in all directions.  Germination will occur in 7-14 days.  Once seeds have germinated thin to 3 seedlings per hill.

Good germination---------probably 85%------------Great healthy plants all doing well so far---
