50 Seeds
(Vigna unguiculata) Early, heavy cropping variety of cowpea produces long pods, each containing up to 16 small black peas. Attractive dark green plants have pretty lavender flowers that open in the morning. Pods are initially green with purple tips, but eventually mature to tan when dry. 65-75 days to harvest. Approx. 50 seeds/pkt.
Culture: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 2" apart, 1" deep in rows 36" apart. Plants will vine if trellised. Immature seeds can be cooked fresh or pods can be left to dry on the vine.
