(Cucurbita pepo) A very old heirloom variety dating back to the 16th century. Highly productive plants produce excellent yields of round, flattened squash with scalloped edges. Fruit are initially light green, ripening to white when fully mature. A good yielder under a wide variety of conditions. Tender squash are great for sauteing, roasting or stuffing. 55 days to harvest. 25 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow 4-5 seeds per hill with 3' between hills and 5' between rows. Germination will occur in 7-14 days. Once seeds have germinated thin to 3 seedlings per hill. Harvest regularly to promote yield.
