Early Half Tall Brussels Sprouts

100 Seeds

$ 3.99

(Brassica oleracea) Rare heirloom variety prized for its early maturity and short stature.  Sturdy, dwarf plants reach just 30" tall and produce harvestable sprouts by late summer.  Plants will continue to produce throughout fall, until the first killing freeze.   150 days from transplant. 100 seeds per packet.

CULTURE:  Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost.  Transplant outdoors as soon as soil can be worked or approximately 4-5 weeks before last frost.  Brussels sprouts are heavy feeders and therefore will benefit from a heavy dose of well-composted manure.  Floating row covers and biological controls are effective tools to protect against damaging insects.
