Morris Heading Collards
Dating back to 1919, Morris Heading is an heirloom variety of collard greens developed by the Morris Plant Farm in Hasty, North Carolina. Plants produce large, wide leaves with a green to blue-green color and a mild, cabbage-like flavor. Fast-growing plants grow roughly 24 inches tall, often giving rise to loose, leafy heads later in the growing season. Cold-resistant plants can be overwintered in mild climates and in fact their flavor is at its peak when sweetened by the frost. Approximately 79 days to harvest. Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
