Tom Thumb Shelling Pea
(Pisum sativum) First introduced in the 1850's, adorable plants reach just 8" in height while producing 2-3" pods, each containing up to four sweet peas. A fun gardening project for young kids and small enough for several plants to be grown in a medium pot. 50 days to harvest Approx. 25 seeds per pkt.
CULTURE: Peas prefer cool weather. As soon as soil can be worked, plant seeds 2" apart, 1" deep in rows 12" apart. Plants do not require trellising. Seeds germinate in 7-10 days.
