Perkins Long Pod is an heirloom okra dating back to the late 1800's. Sturdy, six to seven-foot-tall plants produce abundant yields of thin, ribbed pods that reach up to 8 inches in length. Best picked when 4 to 5 inches in length, the tender pods are absolutely delicious whether fried, sautéed, roasted, or used in gumbo. Approximately 60 days to harvest.
