Kansas Orange Sweet/Cane Sorghum
Kansas Orange is an improved version of Orange first grown by the Kansas Agricultural Research Station in 1883. Selection and purification were performed by the Kansas Station and improved lines were released and grown commercially in Kansas until at least the 1930's. Plants grow 7 to 8-foot-tall, producing juicy green stems that are traditionally pressed to release a sweet juice that is cooked down into a thick, amber syrup. 120 days to harvest. Each packet contains a minimum of 100 seeds.
