Dragon's Egg Cucumber
(Cucumis sativus) This Croatian heirloom produces enormous yields of round, 3 to 4-inch long, cream colored cucumbers that resemble large eggs. A fun variety for children to grow, with a mild flavor and thin skins that do not require peeling. 55 days to harvest. 25 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: Direct sow seeds in spring after danger of frost has passed. Seeds should be sown 2-3 per hill with hills spaced at least 3' in all directions. Alternatively, seeds may be sown along a trellis with 12-24" final spacing between plants. Under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 3-10 days. Harvesting regularly promotes yield.
