Chervil
250 Seeds
(Anthriscus cerefolium) Also known as French parsley, chervil is a cool season herb with a mildly sweet flavor that is a cross between parsley and tarragon. Along with parsley, tarragon, and chives, chervil is one of the herbs commonly used to make fines herbs, a delicate herb blend that is used extensively in French cooking. Plants thrive in cool weather and therefore are best suited for early spring or fall planting. Annual. 60 days to harvest. Approx. 250 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: Start indoors 10 weeks before last frost. Sow several seeds per pot, burying each ¼” deep in sterile seed starting media. Germination may take up to one month. Transplant outdoors after last frost, spacing plants 6-12” apart in all directions. Alternatively, seed can be planted directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed.
