I should have guessed by the name that this was a big bean, but I am really impressed with the eating quality even of very large and slightly filled out beans. Just delicious. My pods were a little bit flattened. They retain great texture when cooked, tender but still substantial.
I sowed them in late summer for a fall harvest in central AR. Excellent pod set. They seem to tolerate our cool fall nights well . I’ll be planting these next spring for sure.
Took a short while, but, boy did they produce.
I got loads of beans per plant.
I planted these mostly late summer and they are just starting to bear now in late September. They did not appreciate the less than ideal start I gave them in 7b AR, but once days shortened and nights especially became cooler, they really took off. I am just harvesting the first heavy crop of beans and they are just excellent. They are very uniform and tender. I expect from appearances they will flourish here before frost gets them. At least so far, the runners are pretty well behaved and will ramble happily up the basic support I have provided. No disease issues so far, and I hope to save seed to grow out a lot more next spring. I think this one may be a yearly grower for me.
Purchased 50 Amish past seeds for 2023 season. Lot A.
They all were little round tomatoes. Not very paste’s. Not more than double the size of a cherry tomato. Plants will n one spot grew very small. While in another spot plants grew large and never set a tomato September 14-2023.
They seem to have cross pollinated and not true to a paste tomato as advertised (large paste tomato)
Not very pleased, would not recommend
Dissatisfied Dan!!
Absolutely love the taste of tarheel beans
Great harvest even with the bunnies eating them at the beginning of the season. They were large and full of flavor!
I had great success rate all around. I had 10/12 seeds germinate. My plants are super heavy producers. The slugs do like them so as soon as they blush with a little color I pick them. They have very little juice and seeds, with no core. This is my new favorite paste tomato.
Can’t wait to grow these beautiful babies! Love the packaging and will definitely order more in the future.
Gave to a gardening friend who has not seen this mix before. Will also plant mine soon!
I purchased the 4 pack limit of seeds from Thresh this year. 100% germination, with beans by the buckets. I know the average size is 4-5 inches but mine reached 7 inches with no problem. I will definitely return for more. I have already picked but the harvest hit and this is the result.
I am one happy canner💜💚💜💚💜
My camomile flowers looked great in garden, but made awesome tea!
Was not sure what these were going to be like, and these Ayşe Kadin Fasulye are nothing at all like European bred snap beans. They remind me of Appalachian beans. They are very much like greasy beans, maybe not as shiny, but very similar hulls. You let them get real bumpy with beans, string them, cook them for a while. Very beany, not mushy. Grow in bunches, close to 4" long with a curve. Seem to produce quicker than my greasy beans, which usually wait until late Summer.
Great germination and looking good so far!
Growing very well as of now. Prolific climber on trellises.
