Kemer Eggplant
15 Seeds
Known in Turkey as Kemer Patlican, this eggplant is possibly one of the most requested varieties we've had over the past several years. Compact, early maturing plants produce heavy yields of elongated, deep purple fruit averaging 2 to 3 inches wide by 10 inches long. White interiors are tender, smooth and slightly sweet. Our strain was collected from Bursa, Turkey in 1948 by the USDA. Harvests begin approximately 60 to 65 days from transplant. Each packet contains a minimum of 15 seeds.
Seed stock for this variety was generously provided by the USDA National Genetic Resources Program (NGRP).
