Tollis Sweet Italian is an heirloom sweet pepper first introduced to the public in 1979 by Seed Savers Exchange member Mike Cannon of New York. Plants produce excellent yields of 5-inch-long, tapered peppers that ripen from green to red. Crisp, sweet peppers are delicious when eaten fresh and are also great for frying and canning. Harvests begin approximately 75 to 85 days from transplant. Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
