Native American varieties encompass a rich tapestry of crops cultivated by indigenous peoples for centuries. These time-tested cultivars include maize (corn), beans, and squash, known as the "Three Sisters." The interplanting of these crops, where corn provides support for beans, and squash shades the ground, exemplifies sustainable agriculture. Native American varieties extend beyond these staples, featuring diverse crops like sunflowers, pumpkins, and peppers, all adapted to regional climates and revered for their cultural significance. These heirloom plants reflect a deep respect for the land and its resources, embodying the wisdom of indigenous agricultural traditions that continue to inspire sustainable gardening practices today.

with the pink eye purple hull peas. Most germinated and produced a good yield. They were also heat tolerant which is important for growing zone 8B. These peas will get double the garden space next year based on their performance in 25.
Just as described! Plants were coming up within 24 hours! Ty !
This is my second review because I had to come back to rave about these tomatoes.
HEAT THRIVING! I’m in 7b, Oklahoma. Summers up to 110 heat index. Very little rain.
These just won’t stop producing. It’s August now and I just picked probably fifteen tomatoes. Disease resistant, I’ve had zero issues. And prolific. There are still more tomatoes on the plant!! These came all from one plant.
This will be a new staple in my garden from here on out.
Thought I’d try mid summer start/fall harvest Lima beans this year. In current summer heat seed germination was just at 4 days, and with minimal supplemental watering plants are up 6-8” tall and look great!
Grew quickly and flavor is excellent!!
Pretty good germination rate (for basil) of about 70~80%. Put a few outside that have turned into rather sizable bushes, but found the leaves got pretty tough/thick in the wind and elements of my backyard, so started some new ones to keep in pots in a more sheltered area so the leaves stay tender.
3/3 seeds germinated, took 10 days in warm room. The first 3 months of growth were pretty slow but in past month have developed into nice little 6x8" bushes. Flavor/fragrance as expected!
Awesome seat company fast shipping great quality seeds will be purchasing from them again I found the company that I will be purchasing from from now on
This is my first time gardening, so I didn't know what to expect for the size of these plants. This is growing like crazy, and I had to remove the cover for the bed to make room for it. It's putting out tons of flowers, and I have little baby cucumbers everywhere and a few bigger cucumbers. I'm very excited to see how well it does this season!
These are nice tomatoes. They grow in clumps of 3-4 tomatoes. I did have some succumb to BER while the other tomato plant in the same bed is totally fine. Half the paste tomatoes are good to eat and half have BER. Still a decent tomato with good yield. I will grow them again.
These are wonderful peas for shelling. Lots of peas per pod. I do recommend keeping these up on a cage or trellis and not letting them sprawl down to the ground. They don’t mind being rough handled though and you’re able to redirect them to a trellis easily. Produced consistently once they started.
These are just gorgeous. Tasty as well. Growing very nicely through our Oklahoma heat. Multiple fruit set. My garden is very crowded as I over plant and these are still doing just fine. Great germination as always with Thresh. Good quality seeds.
These are fantastic flowers! The number of pollinators in my garden exploded this year thanks to the marigolds. They grow with ease and dead heads will give you enough seeds for years to come. Great germination. Great seeds. Some photos of the different flower types I’ve seen from my seeds purchased.
With the weather being as it is only a few have come up not the seeds fault just not good weather season for them to do good
I am delighted with my experience with Thresh Seed Company! My Aleppos pepper seeds had a 75% germination rate...and the little seedlings are thriving. Even though I found these seeds late, I hope to squeeze in a harvest this year due to the prolonged growing season in California...I am growing thiem to give a "taste of home" to my marvelous Syrian neighbors.
Becky, and this company will be my "go to" seed company for future gardens. Many thanks for Becky's kindness and in this company's help in growing friendship gardens. These pepper. seeds are not easy to find!
