Taylor Dwarf Horticultural Dry Bean (Pink Cranberry)
Also known as Pink Cranberry Bean or Speckled Bays, Taylor Dwarf Horticultural is an heirloom variety of cranberry bean that was reportedly introduced to America in the 1800s by Italian immigrants. Short, semi-runner plants grow to just 18 inches tall, producing excellent yields of flattened, mottled pods that change to a bright pink color as they reach maturity. The enclosed beans are oblong and buff to tan colored with red stripes and speckles. Pink Cranberry beans have a silky texture when cooked and work well for soups and baked beans as they can handle long, slow cooking without falling apart. Matures approximately 70 days after sowing. Each packet contains a minimum of 50 seeds.
