North Carolina Long Greasy Bean
25 Seeds
North Carolina Greasy is an Appalachian heirloom greasy bean still famous in the farmers markets of North Carolina. Plants produce bucket loads of 6-inch-long, shiny hulled beans. Typically harvested after the pods have begun to fill out, greasy beans give you the best of both worlds, the freshness of a green bean with the heartiness of a dry bean. Beans do need to be de-strung, but we find it well worth the effort as these beans offer a flavor and substance not available in modern bean varieties. White seeded. 70 days to harvest. Each packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.
