Galina's Yellow Siberian Cherry Tomato

50 Seeds

$ 3.79

Galina's Yellow is a Siberian heirloom collected by Bill McDorman of Seeds Trust shortly before the dissolution of the Soviet Union.  During his trip, McDorman visited some of the summer dachas that dotted the Siberian countryside and discovered a treasure trove of heirlooms being maintained by the residents of these cottage settlements.  Galina is one of those heirlooms.  An early-maturing variety adapted to the cold nights and short seasons of Siberia, Galina is an abundant producer of perfectly round, yellow tomatoes measuring about 1" across. The vigorous, potato-leaved vines produce heavily and continuously right up until the first hard freeze.  A great option for short season and high-altitude gardens, Galina's flavor-packed, round yellow tomatoes have a delicious, sweet flavor that makes them perfect for snacking or use in salads.  60 days from transplant.  50 seeds per packet.
