Benning's Green Tint
(Cucurbita pepo) Heirloom ca. 1914. A beautiful "patty pan" type squash with thin, pale-green skins and tender, white interiors. Bush-type plants remain healthy throughout the growing season, producing enormous yields of tender squash that have a taste similar to a zucchini. Well-suited for sauteing, roasting, or stuffing. 55 days to harvest. 25 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow 4-5 seeds per hill with 3' between hills and 5' between rows. Germination will occur in 7-14 days. Once seeds have germinated thin to 3 seedlings per hill.
