$ 3.99

Cherokee Trail of Tears bean is a Native American variety rumored to have been carried along the Trail of Tears during the 1838-39 forced relocation of the Cherokee people from their native territory in the southeastern US. This pole-type variety produces heavy yields of shiny black beans that are traditionally used as a dry bean. The young pods are also suitable for use as a fresh snap bean. Cherokee Trail of Tears bean matures roughly 85 days after planting. A packet contains a minimum of 25 seeds.

Great climber

Beautiful poling bean. Planted directly underneath cornstalks, bean sprouted within a week at or near 100% success rate, found corn and began climbing perfectly. Beautiful heat tolerant bean, perfect for three sisters companion planting.
