(Cosmos sulphureus) Vibrant yellow, gold, and orange flowers atop wispy stems and airy, thread-like leaves. Plants grow 24-36" with flowers measuring approximately 2.5" across. Blooms July through September. Tolerates drought and poor soil. Approx. 250 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 1/4" deep into a prepared garden bed. Germination will occur in 3-10 days. Thin to one plant every 12-18". Do not over-water as this will reduce blooms.
Beautiful in my garden in spite of less than ideal growing season. I loved the sweet, cheerful blooms. Will plant again and give seeds as gifts.
