(Raphanus sativus) Also known as "Hailstone", this fast-growing variety produces crisp, white radishes with a pleasing spicy flavor. Best harvested when radishes are smaller than 1.5" as they can get woody if left too long. A great early spring variety. 25 days to harvest. Approximately 150 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: Plant seeds outdoors as soon as soil can be worked. Sow seeds 1/4" deep, 1/2" apart, in rows 12-18" apart. Germination will occur in 5-10 days. Thin to 1" spacing after seedling have emerged. Successive sowings can be made every 7-10 days throughout spring and fall.
