The name Turkey Craw is the result of charming folklore claiming that the original bean was discovered in a turkey's craw. Pole-type plants produce excellent yields of stringless, 6-inch-long pods. Commonly used as a dual-purpose variety, with snap beans harvested after the pods have begun to fill out, but before the seeds have lost their immature green color.
