(Cosmos bipinnatus) Heirloom variety produces beautiful flowers with golden centers and white petals that fade to fuchsia at the margins. Plants reach 4' in height with flowers averaging 4" across. A lovely cut flower with airy, whimsical foliage. Easy-to-grow and readily self-seeding. Tolerates poor soils and drought. Deer-resistant. Approx. 250 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 1/4" deep into a prepared garden bed. Germination will occur in 3-10 days. Thin to one plant every 12-18". Do not over-water as this will reduce blooms.
They have not flowered yet, still just small seedlings. The seed packets were quick to arrive. I planted them in the ground one or two days after receiving them.
