Fat Man Cornfield Snap/Green Bean
25 Seeds
(Phaseolus vulgaris) Fat Man is a pole-type or cornfield bean that is popular throughout Appalachia and particularly in West Virginia. In one trial conducted by WVU, Fat Man was among the favorites for flavor and tenderness. We agree. It performed well in our Midwest climate and the beans were delicious! String-type. 75 days to harvest. 25 seeds per packet.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 4-6" apart, 1" deep in rows 24-36" apart. Plants require trellising. Under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 7-10 days. For highest yield, harvest regularly. Avoid touching plants while leaves are wet as this can spread disease.
