(Lactuca sativa) The grower's standard for leaf lettuces. Vigorous plants produce large, loose leaf heads. Slightly savoyed leaves have a beautiful green color and wavy, frilled margins. Germinates best in cool temperatures and has a tendency to get bitter in heat. 30-50 days to harvest. 150 seeds/pkt.
CULTURE: After danger of frost has passed, sow seeds 1-2" apart, 1/8" deep in rows 18-24" apart. Under ideal conditions, germination will occur in 7-14 days. Gradually thin to one plant every 12”. To maximize yield, harvest by cutting individual leaves from the plant, leaving the growing tip intact.
Planted these when the nights were close to 50 average and they sprouted right up. I am in a very sunny area so they get loads of light. Can’t wait to harvest
